– Tell us a little about yourself. Where are you from? Why did you decide to enter MIET?

– I left school in the city of Gus-Khrustalny, Vladimir Region. Several elder schoolmates were already students of MIET and my school organized trips to Doors Open Days at the University. But I did not attend any of them. Honestly, I never thought that I would enter MIET. The dream was to enter St Petersburg University or Peter the Great St Petersburg Polytechnic University. Actually the documents were submitted there, but one of the copies I left for a Moscow University. So my mother and I decided to visit MIET which had been so much spoken about at our school. Anna Belobragina spent about two hours with us – talking about MIET, picking up the programs (then Chairs) that I could apply for, but I didn't apply that day. On the way home, I caught myself thinking “Maybe I should submit documents to this university?”. A few days later, my dad brought my mom and me to Zelenograd to visit MIET with us. On that day, I was met by the students working at the admissions office. They were talking about MIET, about programs, about an interesting and eventful student life and at that moment I realized "I want to apply!" The enthusiasm, love and pride, with which the guys were talking about their alma mater persuaded me And when St. Petersburg dream universities confirmed my matriculation, I got a call from MIET - I did not hesitate to confirm that I was entering MIET.

– You graduated from Corporate Information Technologies and Systems Chair. Why did you decide that it is your vocation? What guided you when choosing the program: personal preferences or career prospects?

– I am a graduate of the Applied Information Technologies Faculty, Department of Corporate Information Technologies and Systems. Now my graduating department is part of the Institute of Systems and Software Engineering and Information Technology (SSEIT).

At school I was practically good at all subjects until the last I could not decide what I was into the most. Because of this, I passed the exam in 7 subjects. Among them were informatics and physics. At MIET, when I entered, I doubted between the faculties of Electronics and Computer Technology and Applied Information Technologies. Nevertheless, the choice fell on AIT - a modern, promising field. Plus, I was interested in future subjects about which students of this program had told me.

– Tell a little about the process of studying.

– The training is structured in such a way that the student acquires the ability to research, develop, implement and maintain information systems for the production and technological, or ganizational, managerial and economic fields of activity for government agencies and businesses.

– What are your first memories after becoming a first year student?

– I entered MIET in 2012 and September 1, as I recall, was Saturday and we had to study. And it was on this day that a holiday was celebrated in Zelenograd - they blocked the central avenue for the festival. And since I live in the second microdistrict, after the first day at theUniversity I had to walk home - but at least I looked at the festival, which will remain in my memory for a long time.

– What was the most difficult during the training? Did your study at the university teach you how to overcome difficulties in your future life?

I would not say that there were many difficulties during my study. Even if they appeared, we managed to cope with them together with my fellow students. Besides I was into active student life- taking part and organizing various events, mentorship, student council, active students school, theatre, the University newspaper «Inversia», MIET-TV - all this gave a boost of energy and did not let me give up, but on the contrary encouraged to learn and make progress.

– Did you have a favorite subject? Do you keep in touch with professors?

– There were much more subjects at the University than at school, and they, unfortunately, and sometimes fortunately, lasted mostly for six months. But in most cases, especially majors flew from one semester to another with in -depth study.

Due to the fact that I am currently teaching the subject “Project Workshop” to the students of my field, I will call it my favorite. And so: “Multimedia Technologies”, a subject that stood out for me from all the rest — work with graphics, animation, video; “Linear Algebra”, “Discrete Mathematics”, “Decision Making Methods”, “Design of Information Systems”. I communicate with the professors and keep in touch with them as I teach students of my department.

– MIET can boast an active student life. Have you taken part in university events?

– From the first year I had an active student life. As I`ve already said, the stories about it and the “sparks” in the eyes of students made me choose MIET.

At first I was at the student council of my faculty, a little bit later I headed it. In the second year I was a mentor for freshmen of my faculty. Throughout my studies, I was a correspondent of MIET-TV. It will take too long to enumerate all my activities.

– Let's talk about your career. Was it hard to find work after graduation?

– In the 2nd year of master's program I worked as a tutor in schools. At that moment, the Moscow Electronic School project was introduced into schools, interactive panels were installed. I helped teachers quickly and comfortably adapt to new working conditions. And at the end of the magistracy, I was invited to one of the schools to work as an informatics teacher, and I agreed.

– Now you are working at school. Are you satisfied with your career?

– I have wonderful students who are interesting to work with, take part in contests and evolve. In addition, I take part in the project of the Mayor of Moscow – “Moscow Longevity”, I teach elderly people to work with computers.

– What would you like to wish the future generation of graduates?

–I want to wish the future generation of graduates take all from the university both in terms of study and in terms of developing an active life position. MIET provides enough resources for this - it is important to find your own activity, and for this you need to try, and not sit still at home doing nothing.
